Room & Breakfast in the heart of Ferrara

Borgoleoni18 is not just a mansion, but the continuation of the friendly cultural experience that Ferrara offers its visitors.

The sixteenth-century building, which is a few meters away from the Este castle, in 1608 witnessed the birth of the poet and writer Daniel Bartoli.

It was later transformed and made unique by its white marble façade in Venetian style. Neglected over the years, it was now completely renovated and restored to become Borgoleoni18: a Room & Breakfast with innovative features, aimed at making the guests' stay a unique experience. The goal is to ensure guests of Borgoleoni18 continue to experience the architectural and cultural wonders of Ferrara. Even within the intimate and familiar environment of their accomodation, enhanced by excellent location and outstanding services.

Double rooms are further enhanced by their unique location, overlooking the pedestrian stretch of the ancient Via Borgo dei Leoni. These apartments offer views of the Este Castle and its Northeast tower, called "Fortress of the Lion". The tower was built to defend the north walls of the city and, in particular, the nearby and important "Lion's Gate", beyond which stretched a small village that bore the same name.

Room BL1

BL1 is a large double bedroom with a modern four-poster bed. Overlooking directly Borgo dei Leoni, you can enjoy the beautiful lateral view of the Castello Estense.

Room BL2

BL2 this double bedroom, again with lateral view of the Castello Estense, is appreciated for the wide glass shower in the center of the room that can still offer maximum privacy, thanks to the electric curtain that falls at your leisure.

Room BL3

This 40sqm accommodation has been designed to accommodate 4 persons.
It is in fact made up of two adjoining rooms, one double bed and one king size bed (separable into two singles); Each comes with a sink and shower; only toilette is shared.

Room BL4

BL4 This double bedroom will welcome you with its four-poster bed and will offer a lateral view of the "Fortress of the Lion”.

Junior Suite BL5

BL5 In addition to the basic equipment, this room is equipped with a large loft with a desk and a sofa that can be converted into a double bed. Suite BL6

BL6 Pride of the hotel, in addition to standard amenities, this fabulous room of 52sqm features a bright entrance with sitting area and wet bar, a king size bed, a walk-in closet, a 50 "TV, a spacious bathroom with dressing table. The dream will become reality thanks to an unforgettable spa area with double shower and Seaside tub (Interior Innovation Award 2014) equipped with Hydrosonic® technology for complete sensory and psychological relaxation delivered in the silence of moving water massaging your body.

SERVICES

Reception

Upon arrival, immediately after check-in, we’ll accompany you to your room, reachable by elevator or along the ancient marble staircase. We are looking forward to showing you the common areas of the property and to explaining the equipment’s function, so that, if you want, you could be completely independent during your stay.

Since this is a Room & Breakfast, there isn't a reception service 24h-24h, we will still be available by phone for any emergency.

Check-in & check-out

It will be possible to check in every day from 14:00 to 20:00 ; Extra check in from 20 to 22 euro 20 ; from 22 to 24 euro 50. After 24 is not possible have a check in.

The check-out until 11:00 will be appreciated and your luggage will be stored until you’ll need it.

It's important to contact the property at least 24 hours before your check-in to communicate your arrival time. The failure to communicate can create unpleasant expectations.

Breakfast

Breakfast will be served from 8:00 to 10:00 in the common area or, during the summer, in the courtyard . On request it can be served in your room.

While preparing the buffet we put absolute attention to the choice of raw materials, preferring organic products and paying particular attention to the preparation of all foods.

Our guests can enjoy homemade cakes typical of Ferrara’s tradition, fresh home-baked bread, cold cuts, various types of cheeses, jams, honey, pastries and seasonal fruits. You can also choose between different tastes of yogurt. There will also be fruit juices and hot drinks as well as milk and various types of cereals.

For the most demanding clients we also offer hot meals freshly prepared on request, such as scrambled eggs with bacon and pancakes with maple syrup or Nutella.

We are happy to serve specific products for food intolerances to those who request it in advance.

Monday morning breakfast will be served at Orcobacco Bistrot in the panoramic room overlooking the Estense castle.
